BRIDGEND - Paul Warren

Paul Warren was born on 10th April 1962 in Bridgend.

He was educated at Brynteg Comprehensive, Bridgend. After studying Psychology, Sociology, Health and Social Care, Paul became the Area Manager for SNAP Cymru in 1992, a national organisation supporting families of children with special educational needs. In 2003 Paul became the Chief Executive of the County Voluntary Council, Voluntary Action Cardiff that supports all community and voluntary groups in the capital of Wales. He also acts as a Lay Inspector for the Social Services Inspectorate of Wales.

Paul joined the Welsh Liberal Democrat Party in 2004 and has been an active member. In the 2004 local elections Paul was elected to Laleston Community Council. He also contested the Brackla constituency seat for the Welsh Liberal Democrats and significantly reduced the Labour majority, and was the Bridgend Liberal Democrat candidate in the 2005 General Election.

He takes a particular interest in issues concerning health, disabled people, small businesses and education.

Paul is a single parent and lives in Cefn Glas, Bridgend with his two teenage children; Daniel 14 and Kayleigh 15.

My Personal Pledges:

I will open and maintain a fully staffed office in the constituency.

I will hold surgeries in the constituency every week.

I will be free to represent you unhindered by any Westminster dogma.

I will be YOUR voice in the Welsh Assembly

The people of Bridgend need someone to fight to keep every job and to strive for more work in the area. A Welsh Assembly needs free thinking men and women, free to speak their minds, free to act on behalf of their constituents, and free to be the voice of Wales.

That's why I have decided to stand as a Liberal Democrat for the Welsh Assembly.
