Welsh Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Gower

Nick Tregoning

Nick Tregoning is an active campaigner and a Dunvant councillor.

He has lived in Swansea since 1986, and has represented Dunvant on Swansea Council since 1999. Apart from his council responsibilities, and working full-time, Nick is also on the Board of the Swansea-wide LASA Credit Union, and supports the work of various organizations including Third World relief and development agencies and the RSPB. His hobbies include walking, badminton, and amateur dramatics.

Next year's Welsh General Election provides an opportunity for us to get away from the drift and broken promises that has been such a feature of the Labour Assembly Government since 2003. The Welsh NHS, the school maintenance backlog, post office closures, are among those areas that have suffered.

The Conservatives, whatever they may say now, remain the party that was most opposed to Wales running it's own internal affairs, and deep down, they probably still are. Plaid has descended to making promises of money for everything without breathing a word of where it is to come from. Only the Welsh Liberal Democrats offer a real and radical alternative to Rhodri Morgan's tired old Labour party, and more and more voters are recognizing that fact.
